You know that meme where the dog is sitting at the table sipping a cup of coffee while the room is on fire around him and he says "this is fine?"

It’s dry as a bone
The smallest spark could start a blaze
Hot enough to melt stone
Entire ecosystems razed
There’s no safety of home
There is no exit door
Are we still talking about fire?
Or is this just a metaphor?

For life
Ever on the verge
Of falling apart
Like some biblical purge

The flames are upon us

Society doesn’t break down overnight
It starts real slow so you don’t put up a fight
We’re just like crabs swimming in a pot
It’s all comfy and warm right until it’s boiling hot
And you’re broken in half and your flesh is devoured
Discarded shell just strewn on the floor
Are we still talking about seafood
Or is this just a metaphor?
