In March, my family caught COVID one at a time, and while our symptoms were mostly mild (thanks to modern science and vaccinations), we were quarantined for the better part of a month. This album was mostly recorded during that quarantine.

The guiding principal for these sessions was minimalism. Most songs were recorded with fewer than 5 tracks, mostly in single takes. All drums were done with a Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator PO-12, a pocket calculator sized drum machine. All guitar tracks were recorded through amps and microphones. Previously I have gone in direct from my effects to the interface without an amp, but I wanted to capture a better guitar sound this time and I think I may have done it!
