Eddie Rifkind This is a wonderland of weirdness and surprising beauty both subtle and unsubtle. From gorgeous and haunting bowed instruments to broad electronic and guitar/bass palettes, you can find it in this album. Suburban Death March just keeps gettin’ better! Favorite track: Tune In.

about

Merch now available at suburbandeathmarch.dizzyjam.com !!!

This one is not for the kids! This album unabashedly and gratuitously glorifies and celebrates and pairs well with the use of mind altering substances. If you're going to use them, please practice harm reduction and be responsible about it for fucks sake! You only get one mind and one body. Please remember to balance your bodily autonomy with self preservation and social responsibility. And don't forget to hydrate. Seriously.

So this one was culled mostly from a bunch of unfinished bits and pieces and ideas that I had floating about after the last one, and an aborted collaborative project that I just didn't have time for.

New things tried this time... expression pedal on delays and reverbs and even the Gristle Throbber, vocals through a distortion pedal, actual percussion instruments, harmonica, AI-assisted lyrics (not proud of that one, but thought I'd give it a try for shits and giggles).

I've been getting pretty burnt on releasing original music and shifting my focus to a live covers project and enjoying the hell out of that. I keep threatening to quit doing this project so whatever happens happens. I'm not going to make any promises either way.

Suburban Death March is Jason Buckley.

Everything you hear on this album is him except for Trail of Ghosts' lovely vocals on Ripped!, and some royalty free samples from Ghosthack.de on Sex Pest. There's also an actual fire alarm that I recorded on my phone on Alarmed. Oh yeah, and some clips from some legal deposition of some asshole on Sex Pest.

about

Suburban Death March Alameda, California

A solo recording project born in the plague years by a suburban dad in the East Bay. Sometimes heavy and doomy, often proggy, occasionally soundtrack-y or mellow, but always weird.
