This was written days after a bunch of school children were gunned down in Uvalde, Texas, a week after a racist mass shooting in a Buffalo, NY grocery store, all while the Supreme Court was taking away women's rights to bodily autonomy. It's an apology to my child's generation for letting things get to this point.

Only their archaic beliefs in a system specifically designed to keep you under their control

We were all too busy just trying to survive, to make it in ever increasingly difficult circumstances to pay attention and maintain a decent society for you

And on the surface the internet made us feel more free
But we are really only prisoners
Docile beasts. Cogs in a machine.

We allowed our parents generation to throw us all under the bus without a fight
They had every benefit and that was not enough for them
So they took it all away from us

And we just let them do it.
