My intention, was to shine a light on the banality of suburban evil.

Creating homelessness that they don’t want to see
They say they care but just not anywhere
Too close to their homes

They form a citizens task force
That fights to keep this town
Entrenched in phony 1950s Nostalgia
They run for city council
They say they’re independent
Then speak in dog whistles
When they say “Oakland”
They mean “Black”

Being polite is more important
Than being decent human beings
It’s more rude to call out racists than to be one
They just have different opinions
Why can’t you just respect that?
Can’t we all just be more positive?
If you call them out one more time
I’ll ban you from our happy little facebook group!
